YEREVAN. – A total of 5 to 6 million drams (approx. US$10,496-$12,595) were spent to open the press center of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Party Vice President Armen Ashotyan told reporters on Wednesday.

“The platform will be used for various events, especially during the forthcoming local elections, when the hall will be used for such purpose,” said Ashotyan. “There will also be [press] conferences in this hall, ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.”

The press center is located in the RPA Central Office, and the party’s address—Melik Adamyan Street—is written on the rostrum.

When asked why the address is also noted, Armen Ashotyan responded: “Melik Adamyan is the address from where the political news shall pass.”
