YEREVAN. – There was information in Azerbaijani media regarding the manufacturing of its own drones, military analyst Arkadi Grigoryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, however, this has two objectives. First, Baku wishes to deceive the public by creating an impression of a rapid development of its military industry, and implying that now there will be one hundred drones where there once were only ten.

“Everyone knows that unmanned aerial vehicles are an expensive pleasure,” noted the analyst adding, however, that this variant is not plausible. “The more likely variant is that Israel has simply refused to sell combat drones to Azerbaijan. The situation is very interesting, since, in this case, a message is sent not only to Armenia, but to Israel.”

In Grigoryan’s view, it is again proved that the Azerbaijanis, who are delighted with the results of using drones, put the emphasis on weapons, and disregard the human factor.

“Let them continue to think that the weapon will fight in their stead,” he added.
