Turkish military announced about overthrowing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and establishing control in the country, reported The Telegraph daily newspaper of Great Britain.  

With the statement disseminated on the air of NTV television of Turkey, these military officers noted that the rule of law is a priority in the country. 

“The power in the country is completely seized,” the statement reads. 

There was news about the closure of Istanbul Atatürk Airport. There are tanks outside the building.

According to some reports, the Turkish state-run TV has stopped broadcasting.

Turkish police have closed the Bosphorus Bridge.

Military aircraft are flying at low altitude in capital city Ankara.

And some Turkish media were reporting about exchange of fire nearby the General Staff building, in Ankara.
