Today, on July 16, at the area of the Swan Lake there took place an annual Watermelon festival (photos). Hundreds of people gathered from 18: 00 p.m. to participate in the festival, organized by the Municipality within the framework of Yerevan Summer program. At the festival people were helping themselves with watermelons, getting involved in various contests, and winning prizes. In another section, designers were representing their carving skills, creating  artworks from watermelons. The best of the designers  today also received an award. In addition, the participant who came to the festival with the largest watermelon was awarded with a special prize as well.
