Turkey does not observe international law conducting repressions after the coup attempt in the country,  and lists of people who were  detained, had been prepared beforehand, the EU commissioner dealing with Turkey's membership bid, Johannes Hahn stated, Reuters reported.

“I'm very concerned. It is exactly what we feared”, Hanh said , adding that after negotiations he and the head of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini expressed hope that follow-up events will be consistent with international standards of the rule of law as they all see that they are not observed.

Answering the question whether the Turkish authorities used these events for own benefit, he declared that at least, this has been prepared.

“It looks at least as if something has been prepared. The lists are available, which indicates it was prepared and to be used at a certain stage,” the EU Commissioner noted.
