Former Turkish envoy to Azerbaijan Huseyin Avni Karslioglu was among those affected during a failed military coup in Turkey on July 15.
The diplomat was injured in his leg in the fire opened from a military helicopter in Ankara, Hurriyet reported. The former envoy managed to go home alone after he was provided first aid.
The death toll in Turkey clashes exceeded 260. The authorities started a wave of arrests in the army and law enforcement agencies.
