The Armenian Parliament is holding a closed hearing of the situation in the Armenian army. The hearing has been organized on the initiative of the Committee for Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs. Attending the hearing are also officials of the RA Ministry of Defense, particularly Acting Chief of the RA military police Aram Ter-Sahakyan, representatives of the military prosecutor’s office and investigation department.

The Parliament members are now asking questions. The Heritage Party has raised the issue of civil control over the army.

A number of deaths have lately occurred in the Armenian army due to bullying.
