YEREVAN. – The situation remains tense in Erebuni district of Yerevan near the area where an armed group seized police headquarters on Sunday.

The protesters built barricades with trash cans and refuse to open the road.

The crowd was joined by priests who are trying to persuade the gathered to avoid additional tension and open the road.

Earlier clashes broke out between police and protesters.
