If the investigation reveals elements of crime in the actions of the officers that video recorded the incident in the Yeghnikner military unit and later made available on YouTube, they will be punished, Armen Harutyunyan, Chief of the Investigation Service, RA Ministry of Defense, told reporters.

“If we find out the authors’ actions were aimed at tarnishing the army’s reputation, they will be punished with all the rigors of the law. Otherwise, they will not be punished,” Harutyunyan said. He pointed out that all the recent army incidents are being investigated. The court will soon pass a sentence on the officer who struck soldier, causing him to fall and die by hitting his head on a bench.
