YEREVAN. -- Armenia issued 581 passports in the Middle East in the second quarter of 2016, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said during the Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
The passports were issued through the embassy in Damascus, general consulate in Aleppo, embassies in Beirut and Baghdad.
The apssports were handed over to ethnic Armenians willing to get the citizenship. The total fee, that is compensated by the Armenian government, made around 36.5 million drams.
