PreferredYEREVAN. - The hearing on the arrest of Sasna Tsrer Member Tatul Tamrazyan was periodically interrupted because the doctors were injecting him painkillers every 20 minute.
Tamrazyan’s attorney Monica Margaryan told the aforementioned to journalists, noting that the motion to arrest her client for two months was groundless.
“There is no justified argument on that Tatul Tamrazyan was linked to the actions he is charged with. The investigators’ motion to arrest Tatul Tamrazyan for two months was groundless: no materials or information were presented to justify the arrest. We have filed an application with the National Security Service (NSS) and then Special Investigation Service (SIS) to involve me as an attorney, which they haven’t done so far,” she said.
“Tatul Tamrazyan had been detained since July 17. He was not arrested but the visits to him were banned; he had no opportunity to get in touch with his relatives and inform them about his whereabouts. I will dispute this issue and also today’s groundless ruling of the court,” the attorney added.
According to Margaryan, Tatul Tamrazyan didn’t plead guilty.
He faces charges under Article 235.3 ( Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive device) and 219.3 (1) (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication) of the Armenian Criminal Code.
As reported earlier, Sasna Tser armed group members Armen Lambaryan and Tatul Tamrazyan were on Saturday moved to a hospital ward from the Intensive Care Unit of Erebouni Medical Center.
Tatul Tamrazyan was wounded on July 17, during a shootout which took place while storming the police station.
