Ten foreign citizens are detained in connection with coup attempt in Turkey, Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus stated on Monday.

At the same time Turkish Deputy Prime Minister hasn't specified nationality of the detainees, Reuters reported.

Earlier Kurtulmus noted that 216 soldiers, involved in the coup attempt in Turkey, are still at large, among them are nine generals.

On the night of July 16 the group of rebels made coup attempt in Turkey. According to the latest data, 246 Turkish citizens were killed, apart from rebels, more than 2,000 people were injured, the coup attempt was suppressed. Turkish authorities accused preacher Fethullah Gulen of the organization of coup attempt and demanded that the U.S. extradite him. Gulen himself denounced the coup attempt and stated that has nothing to do with that.
