Russian GeoProMining Gold LLC. will process aurated coal in Armenia from industrial waste of its Ararat gold extraction plant, Deputy CEO of GeoProMining Gold LLC, Andrei Tsvetkov, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

GeoProMining group of companies exploits Sotk gold mine of Armenia, which is the largest gold mine in the republic, and Ararat gold extraction plant. In the framework of re-equipping its production, the company is going to process coal, which is used as an adsorbent while processing gold concentrate (from mine) to get Dore bead (at the plant).

“We have losses of coal: part of it wears off and falls into tails.  We will extract it, process and extract additional gold, because that coal is also a gold product,” Tsvetkov added.

It is planned to fully operate the technology by the end of 2016.
