The Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery in Baku has suspended its production since August 1 because of preventive maintenance, a source in SOCAR told Trend.

In his words, routine preventive maintenance is carried out, which will take about a month. “During the preventive maintenance, technical maintenance, analysis of the condition of the equipment and other activities will be carried out. No precise data for the start of the oil production has been fixed, but it is planned to start in September,” the source said.

The currently modernization of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery will be completed by 2020. After the modernization, the productive capacity of the refinery will grow from 6 million to 7.5 million annually.
