Cuba has friendly relations with all post-Soviet states, including Armenia and Azerbaijan. Taking into account this fact, Havana keeps track of developments in these countries, Cuba’s Ambassador to Armenia Juan Valdes Figueroa told NEWS.am.
He also noted that Cuba is concerned over problems of the post-Soviet countries. “In this context, Cuba stands for peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict based on international principles. The conflict should be resolved through negotiations that will lead to finding of a mutually acceptable solution,” he stressed, expressing Havana’s regret over conflict that occurred between two post-Soviet countries.
