Russian President Vladimir Putin talked by phone with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday. The conversation took place upon the initiative of the Israeli side. This has been already the third telephone conversation between the leaders of both countries during this summer.

"The two leaders exchanged opinions on issues surrounding the settlement in the Middle East and current aspects of the general situation in the region," the Kremlin press-service reports.

Putin and Netanyahu agreed to continue intensive Russian-Israeli contacts at various levels.
