YEREVAN. – The oversight of online casinos will be tightened in Armenia. 

The draft—which the Ministry of Finance developed—of the respective amendments to the Law on Lotteries and Casinos was approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

Accordingly, the license for Internet casinos will be issued with a complicated procedure, just like for the ordinary gaming halls in Armenia.

This will enable to conduct spot checks to determine the legality of the given gambling business, and to fight against money laundering.
