Several Azerbaijani villages are isolated from the outside world, some of them are flooded due to heavy rain falling for several days.

According to foreign sources, the water level in the Goychay River has risen as a result of which Istisu, Chaygovushan and other villages are flooded. As a result of the disaster basements and yards of houses were filled with water and silt. There was a threat of destruction of small bridges.

Traffic is suspended, while communication with seven villages is interrupted.
