On October 19-21, Forum for the Future of Democracy organized by Council of Europe will be held in Yerevan.

High-ranking European officials, political and public figures, scientists, publicists and reporters will participate in the forum, the Council of Europe information office in Armenia informed NEWS.am.

The democratic principles, human rights, achievements and omissions in different spheres will be the focus at the forum.

The MP from “Prosperous Armenia” Party Naira Zoharabyan had told NEWS.am that Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Cavusoglu, CoE’s Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hamerberg will deliver speeches at the forum. According to Zohrabyan, PACE co-rapporteur Goran Lindblad did his best not to conduct the forum in Armenia, however his efforts were in vain.
