Syrian Armenian woman, who died after falling from Yerevan hotel, was visiting relatives

YEREVAN. – The woman, who died as a result of falling from the 6th-floor balcony of Best Western Congress Hotel in downtown Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, was visiting her relatives who were staying at the hotel.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned the aforesaid from its sources.

The woman’s relatives left the hotel after the incident.

The hotel room, from whose balcony 32-year-old Syrian Armenian named Arshaluys had fallen, is not in use, at present.

The incident had occurred on Wednesday morning.

According to the hotel staff, the woman had thrown herself off the balcony to commit suicide.

She was rushed to a hospital, where, however, she had died without regaining consciousness.

The circumstances behind this death are being ascertained.
