Ecological consequences of constructing nuclear plant in Armenia to be discussed in Geneva

YEREVAN. – A Committee meeting is held this week in Geneva, Switzerland.

The discussants are tasked with monitoring the implementation of the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (Espoo). 

The Metsamor nuclear power plant of Armenia is among the matters being discussed at this event, according to EcoLur NGO of the country.

In this context, the committee members will analyze what Armenia has done to assess the ecological consequences of constructing a nuclear power plant in Metsamor.
