YEREVAN. - The Civil Contract Party is a political force with great ambitions.

The Party leader Arayik Harutyunyan announced the aforementioned at the rally held in Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Saturday.

According to him, they don’t promise to change the power every moment in order not to disappoint the people, but they will do their best for that purpose.

Arayik Hambardzumyan, who tops the Civil Contract Party proportional list in Gyumri city, noted that Gyumri has rather serious problems. “We will reach the solution of those issues. Let the Gyumri residents nail us down for solving those issues, and we will nail down the authorities,” he said.

Hambardzumyan asked the Gyumri citizens to give them two years to solve all the issues. The candidate for the mayor also promised to revoke the decision to name the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s brother Levon Sargsyan honorary citizen of Gyumri in case of forming a majority in the city council.

The rally speaker Alen Simonyan announced that the Civil Contract Party takes part in the elections in Kapan, Vanadzor and Gyumri cities, as well as Nor Kyank, Irind, Voskevaz and Noraduz communities.
