YEREVAN. – The investigation of the case into the two Afghan brothers, who had illegally crossed the Armenian national border, is completed, and the case has been sent to court.

According to the indictment, in June, Afghan citizen Allahdad Banzi, along with his brother Baridad, intended to illegally transit from Afghanistan to Turkey, via Iran. Subsequently, they crossed the Iranian-Turkish border, and on July 6, they entered Turkey with a group. But they were detected by local law enforcement authorities. Eighteen members of the group were detained, whereas the Banzi brothers had crossed the Armenian-Turkish border and entered into Armenia, where, however, they were apprehended.

The brothers have been charged with illegally crossing the Armenian national border. 

They are under arrest.
