YEREVAN. – Armenia’s economy ministry will soon draft proposals to strengthen competition in air transport, acting economy minister Artsvik Minasyan said in the parliament.

He informed about two local airlines operating in Armenia – Taron Avia and Armenia companies.

“Armenia is operating flights to Moscow which might strengthen competition with the Russian air companies and lead to further reduction in prices. The ministry will enhance regulation policy to prevent dumping. This is supposed by open skies policy. The government has to ensure fair competition to have equal competition between the air companies,” he said.
