The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders Michel Forst visited Azerbaijan.

According to Report, he intends to study a situation with human rights defenders. He arrived in Baku at the invitation of the Government.

During the visit, which will take place from 14 to 22 September, Michel Forst will hold meetings with officials, representatives of judicial system, human rights activists, representatives of civil society and diplomats.

Michel Forst will submit the report on results of a visit to Azerbaijan to UN Human Rights Council in March, 2017.
