YEREVAN. – There can be no progress in the Karabakh conflict without implementing the agreements that were reached in the summits that were held in—the Austrian capital city of—Vienna, and in Saint Petersburg—Russia, with the participation of representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told about the aforementioned to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

In his words, this is the reason for the absence of news on negotiations.

“The arrangements on strengthening the ceasefire regime and expanding the powers of the OSCE [i.e. the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe] monitoring group have not been implemented,” stressed Kocharyan. “Progress [in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process] is impossible without them.”
