YEREVAN. – The counting of Sunday’s Russian State Duma election votes cast at the polling station which is set up at the Embassy of Russia in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, is over.

About 1,300 people voted at this station. 

A total of 821 voters, or 63 percent of those who cast their ballots, voted for the ruling Yedinaya Rossiya (United Russia) Party.

This polling station was for the Russian citizens living in Yerevan and all provinces of Armenia, except for Shirak and Lori. Separate polling stations were opened for these two provinces, at the Russian Consulate General in Gyumri.

In addition, a separate polling station was opened for the Russian soldiers that are stationed in Armenia.
