Incumbent mayor, ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) candidate Gor Abrahamyan, has won Sunday’s mayoral election in Aparan town, in Aragatsotn Province. 

Armenian News-NEWS.am on Monday learned the aforesaid from Meruzhan Mkrtchyan, chairman of the commission of Election Precinct 14/2 of Aparan.

He added that Abrahamyan received nearly twice as many votes as his challenger, non-party candidate and company director Edgar Parvanyan.

To note, however, both mayoral candidates were supported by the RPA.
