Most of the Armenian Diaspora representatives dislike programs on Armenian TV channels, chief editor of “Orer” Armenian European magazine told Hakob Asatryan told the reporters on Monday.

“The problem is taste, advertising and content. I raised the issue on the lack of Armenian channels for children during the recent 5th conference of journalists. There are no animated cartoons and programs helping our children to learn the Armenian language, particularly in those regions of Czech Republic where there are no Sunday Armenian schools,” Asatryan said.  Armenian community in Czech Republic gets information on Armenia from TV programs and the Internet.

Referring to the conference “Information Security of the 21st century and Armenian journalism”, held in Stepanakert, October 12-16, he stressed it will be a positive result, if some of the discussed problems are solved.

"Orer" magazine has been published in Czech Republic since 1999 and is distributed free of charge.
