YEREVAN. – At this year’s annual DigiTec Expo exhibition of information technology, which was held in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, the ArmCopters company, which is the official representative in Armenia of the DJI company of China that manufactures drones, introduced a border surveillance drone. According to a company representative, the device shall serve its purpose in one to two months.

The students at National Polytechnic University of Armenia, for their part, introduced a border-guarding robot that will replace soldiers, control the borders, and shoot when observing movement by the adversary.

Also noteworthy was the model for a mine-detecting robot, which the schoolchildren at the College of National Polytechnic University of Armenia had developed.

The main direction of this year’s DigiTec Expo was military industry, and the designing of defensive solutions.
