This year the number of suicides in the Armenian army has reduced  compared to last year, the 168 Zham newspaper reports referring to Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan. He commented on the investigation of the Armenian serviceman Samvel Khachatryan’s suicide. As reported previously, a soldier was found hung in one of the military units of the Armenian army.

“The investigation revealed that a group of conscript soldiers violently beat and humiliated him. The guilty were arrested. I cannot disclose details, for legal reasons. Do not worry! Adequate  measures are taken,” Ohanyan said.

As to his attitude towards increase of suicides in the Armenian army, Ohanyan said they are even fewer as compared to the last year.
