Armenia is marking the 10th anniversary of its membership in the Council of Europe (CE) soon. The country is honoring its commitments to the CE, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian stated at the opening of the Democracy for Future forum in Yerevan.

Armenia is strengthening the rule of law, protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms and appreciates its partners’ support on this way, he said.

According to the Minister, the forum in Yerevan is a binding fact.

Armenia hopes the participants in the forum will hold effective discussions of issues of mutual interest. The forum may facilitate democratic reforms in Europe, Nalbandian said.
