The Council of Europe has no access to the rights of people living in areas of frozen conflicts.

Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland, said the aforementioned at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (CoE) on Monday, responding to the question of the Azerbaijani MP Rafael Huseynov regarding the Karabakh issue, Armenian News – NEWS.am special correspondent reports from Strasbourg.

Jagland expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the Council of Europe has no information on the human rights situation in the conflict zone.

The Secretary General noted that he has always attached attention to the human rights defense.

“I have raised the issue of human rights in the frozen conflict. Council of Europe does not have access to the rights of people living in this areas; it is unacceptable,” he noted.
