Victory of democracy and human rights in Armenia is inevitable. It is a matter of time, Aram Sargsyan, chairman of the political council of Republic oppositional party, said at today’s rally held by the Armenian National Congress.
According to him, Europe has passed a century-long development to reach high level of human rights protection, while the Armenian people had to solve other problems. Under present conditions Armenia should fill in the gap by leaps and bounds.
“We just have to struggle for victory of democracy every day, every hour. There is no other way, Armenia’s future is conditioned by this,” Sargsyan said.
Chairman of the People’s Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan placed special emphasis on numerous riggings of the presidential and parliamentary elections that have become integral part of present Armenia’s political life. According to him, election rigging is the most flagrant example of human rights violation.
