YEREVAN. - Armenia-based innovation companies can draw the attention of foreign investors.

Investment Banking Director at Ameriabank CJSC, Arno Mosikyan, told the aforementioned to journalists at the seminar held by Ameriabank CJSC for potential Armenian securities issuers at the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Innovation companies spark great interest at the international market. This also includes the traditional industries using innovations, he added.

“Our goal is to convince the international investors that Armenian market opens up new opportunities. Ameria company has been helping its partners attract investments for over 20 years. We fully possess the development tendencies of both local and international markets and know which companies can enter which markets. We are ready to help our partners any minute, since we have a command of technologies and ways to communicate with investors,” he stressed.

It is believed that a company can get prepared for IPO in 6-12 months. But during this period it is necessary to reach the necessary level of transparency, financial accounting standards and corporate governance. Some companies are ready for this, while others aren’t, Mosikyan added.

Ameriabank CJSC is the largest bank in Armenia according to its assets, loan portfolio, obligations and deposits. The overall capital of the bank currently amounts to about $200 mln, its overall assets making up about $1 bln by the end of 2015.
