YEREVAN. – Everything that is done within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) aims to strongly and unequivocally ensure the security of member-states of the organization (PHOTOS).

CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha stated the aforesaid at Thursday’s official opening of the ArmHiTec 2016 international exhibition of arms and defense technologies, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

As per Bordyuzha, even though the respective main efforts are aimed at ensuring security by political means, the logic of events unfolding worldwide bespeaks the need for strengthening the military capacity.

The CSTO chief noted that, in this connection, the military forces need to have modern weapons and equipment, and that is why the CSTO Collective Security Council is making so much effort in this respect. In his words, the proof of this is the current exhibition that opened in Yerevan.

“We need to create, develop weapons, open service centers together,” added Nikolay Bordyuzha. “I hope this first exhibition in Armenia will be continued.”

Also, the CSTO secretary general thanked the minister of defense of Armenia for the high organizational level of ArmHiTec 2016.
