The governor of Russia’s Rostov Oblast (district), Vasily Golubev, has instructed to provide financial assistance to the families of the victims of the accident, involving a passenger bus heading from Moscow to Yerevan.

“Governor of Rostov Oblast Vasily Golubev offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery to those wounded in Beslan accident,” the statement reads.

According to the information, the governor has instructed to allocate means from the reserve fund to provide financial assistance to the families of the victims.

The accident took place Friday at 4:30 am Moscow time in the territory of South Ossetia. Consequently, five people died, including three Russian and two Armenian citizens, one of whom was the driver. 27 people sustained bodily injuries, five of them being children.

According to the information of the South Regional Center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, seven residents of Rostov’s Krasny Sulin and Kamensk-Shakhtinskiy were wounded as a result.  They were heading for a karate competition in Yerevan, RIA Novosti reports. Two adults and one minor died; four children are hospitalized in Republican Clinical Hospital of Vladikavkaz Ambulance.
