This year the French Embassy in Armenia has less often refused to issue entry visas to Armenian citizens – a 30-35 per cent decrease as compared with last year, French Consul Frederick Grapen told journalists in Yerevan.
According to him, 10% of the applicants were denied this year. The diplomat pointed out certain changes in the visa issuance procedure. Grapen explained that the aim is to create an atmosphere of confidence for the citizens that have received entry visas and reduce their expenses.
From now on, the Embassy is not accepting any documents in Russian. All the documents must be translated into English or French.
Applicants can get registered for interviews by internet from Nov. 15.
