On October 21, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received CE Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland who has arrived in Armenia to participate in the Forum for the Future of Democracy.

Nalbanidan noted that forum organized in Yerevan provided a good opportunity to exchange views on development of democracy in Europe, RA foreign office press service informed NEWS.am.

In his turn Jagland expressed gratitude to the Armenian authorities for organization of the event at a high level.

Edward Nalbandian stated that Armenia will assist the reforms ongoing in the Council of Europe. Nalbandian also touched upon recent developments in the Karabakh peace process. He stressed that the OSCE Minsk Group is engaged in the negotiations, noting that shifting talks to any other format will damage the peace process.
