A lawsuit has been launched in the Netherlands against the right-wing party leader Geert Wilders, reports the DW. Wilders, who is on trial for racist remarks against Moroccan citizens, did not attend the lawsuit.

In the spring of 2014, while speaking to his supporters in The Hague, he asked if they would like see more Moroccans in the Netherlands or less. In response receiving "less" from the audience, the politician promised to resolve that issue. His speech caused a wave of criticism. More than 6 thousand applications were submitted to the prosecutor's office for his words. In case the court finds him guilty, he must pay a fine of more than 20 thousand euro or serve up to 2 years in prison.
