The Turkish authorities must restore the freedom of speech and pluralism Turkey. The ongoing arrests of journalists are subject to condemnation, said the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic. She condemned the investigation of Cumhuriyet employees, reports the RIA Novosti. "The latest wave of arrests of members of the media outlet is yet another blow to the freedom of media in Turkey. The authorities should restore freedom of media and safeguard a vibrant and pluralistic media landscape in the country," said Mijatovic in her statement. She also noted that anti-terrorism legislation in Turkey is used to restrict media in Turkey.
