Ban to speak Kurdish during court hearings sparked a protest of the Kurdish population of Turkey.

The Kurdistan Communities Union, Turkey Council (KCK/TM) issued a statement calling on the Kurdish population to speak their native language, especially in state institutions.

The statement mentions that “Erdogan’s party has started political genocide of Kurds, simultaneously continuing cultural genocide and assimilation policy.”

As NEWS.am reported earlier, 150 Kurds stand trial accused of having links with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
