YEREVAN. - Students, who were carrying out military watch during the April events, get 30 percent discount on their tuition fee in Armenia.

Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, Levon Mkrtchyan, said the aforementioned during the parliamentary hearings on draft 2017 State Budget.

Secretary of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) faction, Aram Manukyan, asked the Minister whether the latter possesses data on how many students taking part in the April events have university tuition fee discounts.

Responding to the question, Mkrtchyan noted: “We’ve got the figures, but I can’t remember many of them. The problem is the following: which document can confirm that the given student took part in the four-day war?”

In his words, to some extent April War takes place on the border every day. “We have one common principle: the students who carried out military watch get a 30 percent tuition fee discount,” Mkrtchyan added.
