YEREVAN. - The specific weight of investments in Armenia’s GDP will reduce, as per draft 2017 State Budget, economist Vilen Khachatryan said at a press-conference Saturday.

In his words, the draft budget enshrines that the investments in the GDP will amount to 19.1 percent.

“The investments will be by 1.1 percent less than the indexes for year 2016. That is, the Government says that the investments will increase, but the draft state budget provides that the specific weight of investments in the GDP will reduce. This is a negative tendency,” Khachatryan stressed.

The economist also added that in 2017 the inflation in the country will amount to 1.4 percent. “We will close year 2016 with deflation tendencies,” Khachatryan noted.
