YEREVAN. - The statement of the Armenian Ombudsman’s Office on  that I didn’t submit a relevant document on the Sasna Tsrer armed group member Hovhannes Harutyunyan’s deterioration of health doesn’t correspond to reality, Hovhannisyan’s attorney, Hayarpi Sargsyan, told Armenian News.am.

“How can the Ombudsman’s Office state that they required a document from Hayarpi Sargsyan and she refused to submit it? That’s funny. Frankly speaking, it was only from the statement that I leant that they required something from me. Nobody asked me anything. As to the mentioned document, I don’t keep it in secret. I received it on September 20 and have been using it for already two months,” the attorney noted.

She also said that she sent the document reflecting the concerns and inquiries of the doctor to Erebouni Medical Center, while the copy of the document was sent to the Ministry of Health.

“I received an inadequate answer from Erebouni Medical Center, which a doctor from Netherlands considered non-professional. We asked what Hovhannes Harutyunyan wasn’t operated on and what might the risks of the operation be. We didn’t receive an answer to this question. I had to once again raise these issues and sent the copy to the Ministry of Health,” Sargsyan said.

Thus, the document has been available in different structures for already two months, but the Ombudsman’s Office thinks that there is no such document among the medical papers. “The workers of the Ombudsman’s Office should go to Erebouni Medical Center and get familiarized with the issues raised by my. I can even publish the answer of the medical center and the copy of the minister so that they can see that this document has been in use long ago. As an attorney, I demand the official refutation by the Ombudsman’s Office,” she concluded.

Earlier, the Ombudsman’s Office issued a statement, according to which the information on Hovhannes Harutyunyan’s health condition, specifically deterioration of the condition of his wounded leg wasn’t confirmed because of the absence of relevant documents.
