YEREVAN. - The Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) is no lnger in debt to the generating plants.

Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Iosif Isayan told the aforementioned in the parliament on Monday, at the debate on 2017 State Budget.

The debts which emerged in 2012-14 and reached 22.4 bln, were included in the tariff in tariff year 2015-16 (from August to August) and completely extinguished. During this period 75 bln AMD (approx. $158 mln) power entered the system, this being fully paid for, the Deputy Minister stressed.

To rehabilitate the financial condition of the power plants, which owed to ENA, the Armenian Government contracted a $30 mln loan from the World Bank, about 3.3 mln (approx. $7 mln) of which will be spent by 2017.
