Due to his reserved and balanced policy Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan showed himself a progressive political leader of the region, Republican Party MP Gagik Melikyan told a press conference today. Due to President’s efforts Armenia acquired status of reliable and responsible long term partner in the eyes of international community.

Melikyan named Aliyev as an opposite example. The MP deems that each morning Azerbaijani leader is waiting for cock crowing to voice ridiculous historical facts.

The politician is indignant about Azerbaijan’s impudence. “World has learn about Azerbaijan less than 100 years ago, before that no one knew what Azerbaijan is. They are known as Caucasian Tartars, people of Turkic origin who once decided they have centuries-long history,” the MP stated. “Small 100-year-old Muslim populated state declares itself a holder of separate ethnos - first Christians - and is claiming for historical Christian monuments,” Melikyan stressed.

Finally the politician pointed out absurdity of Azerbaijan’s agitation, “We have a political party that is even older than the state of Azerbaijan.”
