Oct. 23, the streets of the Turkish city of Izmit turned into a battlefield.
The authorities banned the traditional Saturday bazaar near Bekirpasha. However, despite the ban on more than 1000 merchants have tried to break into the market. As a result they clashed with security forces.
Traders on the trucks blocked the streets. The police used water cannons and tear gas.
