Russian President Vladimir Putin once again was disturbed by Western reaction to the Russian army drills. Putin noted that Russia does not threaten anyone, RIA Novosti reports.

“Our army does not threaten anyone. I would like to stress that once again so that all could hear,” he said. “Yet, it is strong, modern, and efficient. We have increased the frequency of exercises and unannounced inspections and that sometimes disturbed our partners, as we call them. When they conduct drills, we are not worried but they, for some reason, are getting too nervous at once, they are kind of too nervous.”

President Putin stressed that Russian Army does not threaten anyone.

“Why should we do that? Our land is the largest in the world and we need to safely secure our own country, to secure our own people. Our army is capable of doing so, and it will continuously develop,” Vladimir Putin said.

He noted that Russia continues military development program.

“It must be compact, yet very efficient, so we will continue structural reforms and optimization without massive cuts,” Putin said.

Russian president added that the reforms are focused on the IT, intelligence, communication systems, modern high-precision instruments, and technological arms.
