No country is immune to the effects of global warming, told the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon at the press conference in Marrakech, where the UN holds a conference on climate change.

Last week Ban Ki-moon had a telephone conversation with US newly elected president Donald Trump, during which he referred to the Paris Agreement. 
“I brought up many issues, peace and security issues, including the issue of climate change… I remain very optimistic about our effort to combat climate change. Look at what we have achieved,” said Ban Ki-moon.

Ban Ki-moon said that he told Trump in details about the expectations of the international community. "I think I have explained at length about our expectations and our hope that the newly elected President-elect Mr. Trump will really hear and understand the seriousness and urgency of addressing climate change," he said. "Then as president of the United States, I am sure that he will understand this, he will listen, he will evaluate his campaign remarks," said the head of the UN.

As reported earlier, the newly elected US president Donald Trump was against the Paris agreement on climate change during his election campaign.
